School teacher runover by car in Hoskote

 In a hit-and run incident, a 55-year-old woman was killed on the spot after a car ran over her in Hoskote in Bengaluru Rural district on Saturday.

Police said the victim Shamallama was a teacher at a school in Nadulapura. The accident occurred around 1 pm on Nadulapura-Hoskote Main road while she was returning from school.

Shamalamma lost balance and fell on the road while riding pillion on her colleague’s bike. A car, which was behind the bike, ran over her. The car driver fled the spot. Police are analysing CCTV footage from nearby areas to ascertain the driver’s identity.
