JOIN US The High Court of Karnataka on Thursday issued notice to Housing Minister M Krishnappa and his son and Govindarajnagar MLA Priya Krishna on a PIL seeking directions to take over the administration of a temple built in a park due to its misuse by local leaders in the name of a trust.
The petitioner, S Ravichandra, moved the court contending that a Sai Baba temple was constructed in a park on Magadi Road near the police quarters. The petitioner has contended that a trust has been running a temple which is an illegal construction, inside a park.
The petitioner has sought directions to hand over the administration of the temple to the Muzrai department as the temple is located in a public place.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice P S Dinesh Kumar ordered issue of notice and adjourned the hearing.
