Chinmay's ton spurs St Joseph's to comfortable win

Chinmay NA struck an unbeaten ton as St Joseph’s Boy’s High School registered a thumping 108-run victory over Bethany High School in the under-16 category of the Cottonian Shield on Monday.

St Joseph’s won the toss and decided to bat first, posting a massive 199 for two from their 20 overs. Chinmay struck 100 not out while Tejas Sham (41) and Daanish Altat (36) also made valuable contributions.

Bethany could never get going and crumbled as Tishya (3/27) and Siddharth (3/11) shone with the ball for the Josephites.

In another fixture, a good bowling effort from Shashank  and Amitesh gave Ebenezer International School Bangalore a comfortable nine-wicket win over St John’s High School.

Batting first, St John’s were pushed onto the back foot after Shashank grabbed three for six and Amitesh returned figures of two for 10. They eventually ended their innings on 83 for eight in 20 overs. In response, it was all too easy for Ebenezer, who won in just six overs.
