'Huli' scares giraffe Yuvaraj

A film crew had put up spot  lights around the moat to shoot a sequence. The lights, cameras and crew in colourful costumes scared Yuvaraj who started behaving strangely. It ran all over the moat creating tense moments for the zoo officials. The zoo keeper, Sannappa, who was present in the enclosure used his presence of mind and sprinkled water on the giraffe. Later he went near Yuvaraj and caressed him. Subsequently, Yuvaraj calmed down.

Following this incident, the zoo authorities requested the film crew to pack up. By that time, the crew had finished shooting. Earlier, they took a shot of a tiger in its enclosure.
Zoo Deputy Director Belliappa told Deccan Herald that Yuvaraj is well and nothing has happened to him. “He was scared after seeing the powerful lights and the cameras. The animal keeper and veterinary doctors calmed him down by sprinkling water. In fact, there is a provision to give permission for shooting inside the zoo against payment of fees,” he said. The film ‘Huli’ is directed by N Omprakash Rao.
