Jewels stolen from businessman's apartment

A Nepali couple reportedly stole about 400 grams of gold jewels from a businessman’s residence in Kadugodi.

According to the police, the theft took place when Vinay Agarwal, who resides in a flat at Sigehalli, had gone to Hyderabad along with his family some two days ago.

On July 12, Agarwal had employed a couple from Nepal for security duties. However, he had not verified the couple’s background before employing them.

He had not even collected their complete details, said the police. The duo stole the valuables that were kept in a cupboard and escaped. The theft came to light when Agarwal returned to the city, said the police.
