Conference on libraries in the digital age

JK Business School (JKBS), Gurgaon, organised a national conference on ‘Library Services in Electronic Environment’ recently. Over 150 librarians participated. Dr Ravinder Kumar Chadha, Joint Secretary, Parliament of India, Lok Sabha Secretariat, was the chief guest. The conference addressed issues such as the advancement of information technology, new possibilities for the development of new products for librarians. “In higher education and research, the library has specific functions to facilitate the extensive use of learning resources by students, teachers, and researchers,” said Dr Reena Ramachandran, Director General, JK Business School.

‘Art of Parenting’ seminar & book launch
Brain experts Dr Anne and Stephen Rushton were in Bangalore recently to educate teachers and parents on the ‘Art of Parenting’  at a seminar hosted by Podar Education Network. They also launched a book, ‘Unraveling the mystery and myths of brain research’.

Workshop on Value Education
The Art of Living introduces a workshop on ‘Lessons in Value Education’. The three-day workshop for school teachers will focus on training teachers to help students build self awareness.
