Woman commits suicide 'due to depression'

A 32-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her house on Thursday.
The police said Rekha was a resident of 8th Cross, Rajarajeshwarinagar. She was married to Krishnaiah, a realtor, and has a two-year-old son.

According to the police, Rekha was suffering from depression. Rekha’s mother had visited her house a week ago. She had told her mother that she had no interest in life and wanted to be with God.

Krishnaiah was away on Thursday afternoon. Rekha dropped her son at a neighbour’s house around 1.30 pm, returned home and hanged herself from a ceiling fan. The incident came to light when Krishnaiah returned home around 4.30 pm, said the police. The police said there was no death note.
