JOIN USThe I-T officials continued to grill Anjaneya, an assistant of Energy Minister D K Shivakumar on Friday too and tried to elicit information about why huge quantity of money was kept at the minister’s Safdarjung Enclave houses.
With the report that huge cash found during the searches at two apartments allegedly belong to Shivakumar at Safdarjung Enclave, the taxmen wanted to know from Anjaneya why the money was kept there and to whom it was supposed to be delivered, an official said.
The I-T team, which has been camping at Anjaneya's house at Karnataka Government Employees Residential Complex in Sector 6, R K Puram since Wednesday morning, took him to an undisclosed location on Friday morning. In the evening, they brought him back to his house where 15 other officials joined the probe.
Since Anjaneya has been working as an assistant to Shivakumar for long, the I-T sleuths suspect he has information on the minister's movements and contacts in Delhi.
