Prajwal keen to contest polls

Prajwal Revanna, son of senior JD(S) leader H D Revanna, reiterated on Saturday his desire to contest the 2018 Assembly elections.

“I’m certainly interested in contesting the elections. I leave the decision to the party. I’m okay with contesting from either Belur, Hunsur or Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituencies,” he told reporters on the occasion of his 27th birthday celebration. Prajwal had kicked up a storm last month by saying that a “suitcase” culture was prevalent in the JD(S). His statement came just two days after veteran Congress leader A H Vishwanath joined the party. “I have already responded to a show-cause notice issued by party patriarch H D Deve Gowda. I apologise once again to all those who were hurt by my words” he said.
