The Third Additional District and Sessions Court, on Monday, rejected the anticipatory bail application of Basavaraj Mane of Belagavi, an accused in the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) fake marks card scam.
City Crime Branch (CCB) police, who busted the racket recently, booked Mane based on the information provided by one of the accused.
According to sources, the judge rejected the bail application as the chances of destroying the evidence are high.
It may be mentioned that CCB police have arrested 10 people in connection with the fake marks card case.
