BJP president says Varnika like his daughter

Four days after Vikas Barala was booked for stalking Varnika Kundu, his father and BJP Haryana chief Subhash Barala on Tuesday said the 'woman was like his daughter'.

On the back foot, the state president on Tuesday said there is no pressure on anybody from his side or from the BJP. He said this could be established from statements of Varnika and her family.

Things are being dealt with as per law, he said, adding that action should be taken against his son and Ashish as per law to ensure justice to Varnika. Meanwhile, there have been protests at various places in support of Varnika. Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh also batted for justice for the women advocating fair probe.
