No member from Kodagu has been selected even though there are two lack Tuluvas in Kodagu so as to represent the culture of the district and also to provide an opportunity to the growth of Tulu literature in Kodagu. At least two members should be selected from the district, he said.

Okkoota general secretary Ravi charged that priority in the nominations for the academy is given to those recommended by politicians. Those who have done sincere work for the development of Tulu language should be given the priority. A memorandum will be submitted to the government in this regard, he added.
