“Sachin is getting better. We are hopeful that he will be fit and ready to play tomorrow’s game,” Shikhar told reporters at the PCA stadium.

Dhawan said Tendulkar has led from the front in this tournament and the team is expecting him to guide them again against Kings XI.

“Sachin is world’s best batsman and he is also a great captain. We have won many matches under his captaincy. He is very calm on the field and there is a great feeling out there. Hopefully we will also win tomorrow’s game under his captaincy,” said the left-hander.

“He is a great leader and his presence in the team gives a lot of confidence to every player,” he said.

Dhawan said the team was keen to maintain its winning momentum. “We are fully prepared for the matches at different venues and amid diverse conditions. We are really looking forward to winning the remaining matches of the IPL.”

Dhawan was also full of praise for the team management. “Mumbai Indians is like a big family. We are proud to have these owners. We never feel any kind of pressure while playing; even Sachin also advises us to play positively and without any undue pressure,” said Dhawan.

Dhawan started IPL I as part of Delhi Daredevils team but later he was picked up by Mumbai Indians. “Unfortunately I got injured after few matches but later I was lucky that Mumbai Indians picked me and gave me a chance to play. I am enjoying my game very much,” said Dhawan.
