Biplab Hazra 'NiF Photographer of the Year'

The fourth edition of the two-day nature and wildlife photography festival 'Nature InFocus' concluded in the city on Sunday.

Biplab Hazra from West Bengal was named 'Photographer of the Year' for his photo depicting human-elephant conflict. Shamshankar Bhat bagged The Young Photographer award, which was instituted for the budding photographers Under 17 years.
Awards were also presented to the winners in other categories such as animal portraits and behaviour, people with nature and conservation issues on the occasion.

The festival was sponsored by the Department of Tourism.  Wildlife photographers, biologists, conservationists and the officials spoke at the festival.
