Bengaluru Development Minister K J George on Monday said he has nothing to do with the deletion of certain call details and documents on the mobile phone of deputy superintendent of police M K Ganapathi who committed suicide last year.

“If anybody has any evidence, she/he is free to submit it to the Supreme Court where a case is pending,” he told reporters who sought his reaction to BJP’s charges that he was involved in tampering with evidence in the case.

“The BJP leaders are known for speaking lies. I resigned as minister soon after my name figured in the case. Chief Minister (Siddaramaiah) took me back in the Cabinet as the CID did not find any evidence against me,” he added. George also said many Union ministers are continuing in their posts despite the police filing charge sheets against them. People are aware of everything and they will teach them a lesson at the right time, he added.
