Chhetri was included in the 24-man roster after Hungarian striker Zoltan Hercegfalvi has been ruled out for five to eight months due to an injury but he was not among the 18 players in KC Wizards' 1-0 win over Colorado Rapids last night as he is yet to get clearance papers from United States Soccer Federation and MLS.
Wizards manager Peter Vermes said all the 24 players in the roster will get chance against Colorado Rapids in the US Open Cup game on Tuesday at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
"Any competition that comes our way, we want to try and win it. We also have a game four days later in Seattle. We have a 24-man roster, and we are going to try and use our guys to the best of their ability," he said.Meanwhile, media reports in the United States said there has seen an increase of 5,000 Facebook fans since Chhetri's signing and four goals for KC Wizards in practice matches.
