15-member delegation from Gujarat visit M'lore

All invited to Gujarats golden jubilee celebrations

Speaking at an interaction programme organised by the Gujarati Mahajan Association in Mangalore on Saturday, he said that the invitation is not restricted to Gujaratis, but open to all Indians.  Leading a delegation of 15 including an MP, 7 MLAs and officials, Patel is a messenger of Gujarat’s development in the recent years.

“Gujarat is one of the fastest growing states in the country, and one of the very few states with a double digit growth rate for the last 5 years,” he said.  ‘Swarnim Gujarat,’ the year long celebration of Gujarat’s golden jubilee will begin on April 29 with the three-day festival.

By then, 14 delegations would have covered all the states in the country impressing upon them the success of the state and inviting them for the celebrations. By April 14, a number of Swarnim Raths would cover all the 18,000 villages in the State, where each and every citizen of the state will have to take a pledge that he/she will do something for the state, Patel said and added that more than a celebration, it is taking part in development.

Member of Parliament from Kachch Punamben Jat, MLAs Govindbhai Patel, Kanthibhai Lakum, Gitaben Patel, Jyotsanaben Patel, Upendrasingh Gohil, Dushyantbhai Patel, Naranbhai Patel, MD of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd S Jagadeeshan, Minister’s Personal Secretary H R Suthar, Liason Officers Jashvant Gandhi, Ashish Kharod, IndexT-b Pinakin Padia and GSPC Sahin Pandaya are the other members of the delegation, which will visit Bangalore next.  Members of Sri Gujarati Mahajan Association were present on the occasion.
