6 villages in Tarikere under Suvarna Gram Yojane: DV

Laying foundation stone for suvarna grama yojane at Doranal, Lakkavalli and Lingadahalli, drinking water projects, Gram Panchayat building and Government Girls’ Pre University College building, he said that Suvarna Gram Yojane is being implemented in the villages in the state under fierce competition.

The Government is all set to realise the dream of Mahatma Gandhi of ‘rama rajya’ and rural amelioration. A sum of Rs 1 crore will be provided to every village once in 5 years. Additional funds will be given to Town Panchayat, Town Municipal Council and City Corporations in the same way. He informed that 6 villages in Tarikere has been brought under Suvarna Gram yojane.

Electricity

He said that State Government is trying its level best to solve electricity crisis and in this regard it has planned a three year plan. A total of 400mw of electricity has been bought from Gujarat.  Power stations will opened at  Thadadi and Bijapur.

MLA D S Suresh said that within few years concrete works will be taken up in all the roads in Tarikere constituency. Zilla Panchayat Member T J Ravikumar, former vice-president Sri Ramu, Taluk Panchayat Member Aslam Khan, Sharadamma and others were present.
