2 women end lives

Depressed over her best friend’s death, a 20-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging at her house in Lakshminarayanapura in Srirampura on Wednesday.

The deceased, Bhuvaneshwari, had completed her B Com from Sheshadripuram College six months ago and was looking for a job. After her close friend Rashmi committed suicide three months ago, Bhuvaneshwari remained depressed mostly.

On Wednesday, Bhuvaneshwari hangedherself in her room when her parents had gone out. In another incident, a 31-year-old homemaker Veena committed suicide by immolating herself at her house in Yeshwantpur on Thursday.

She was under depression after her second delivery and was under medication. On Thursday morning, she doused herself with kerosene and set herself ablaze .
