JOIN USSamarth Kurdikeri, who represents Bank of Baroda, clinched the Kosmos Cup men’s single title by defeating Soumyadhri Bhatacharya in four straight sets (11-9, 11-8, 11-8 and 11-5).
In the semi-finals, samarth had defeated Sushmit Barighadad in 4-1 sets to reach the finals, while Soumyadhri Bhatacharya had defeated Sucheth Shenoy 4-3 to reach the finals.
In the youth girls category, Samyuktha of GMTTA humiliated Aditi Joshi of Joshi academy in 4-1 sets. Samyuktha defeated Aditi 11-8, 11-3, 11-8, 8-11, 11-8. In the semi-finals, Samyuktha had defeated Koumudi 4-1 sets to enter the finals, while Aditi Joshi had defeated Kalyani in 4-0 sets.
In the youth boys category, Akash K J defeated Neeraj Raj in 4-3 sets to clinch the title. He scored 12-10, 10-12, 11-3, 10-12, 8-11, 11-9, 11-9.
In the non-medalist singles, Rohan Shikre beat Sudharshan in 3-0 sets (11-3, 11-8, 11-8) to ensure a win.
