Forum conducts cleanliness drive at Raja Seat, Abbey falls

Moornadu Clean Coorg organised a cleanliness drive at tourist spots on Saturday.

The students and members of Clean Coorg carried out the drive in Raja Seat and Abbey falls.

The volunteers collected garbage and plastic bottles from the sites. The members of Madikeri Lions Club, Rotary Misty Hills, Chamber of Commerce, Lioness Club and St Michael School students joined hands in the drive.

Clean Coorg president Baduvanda Arun Appacchu said Kodagu is known for its nature’s beauty. There is a need to conserve the environment for future generation. All the citizens should join hands in creating a garbage-free district.

The Clean Coorg members took part in cycling from Raja Seat to Abbey Falls to create awareness on cleanliness. They collected the waste dumped beside the road en route.

Nadir Khan from Iran was also part of cycling.
