JOIN USDigital payments major Paytm on Wednesday launched ‘Diwali Gold Sale’ to enable people to make their gold purchases more rewarding during the ongoing festive season.
According to Paytm, customers can use the promo code GOLDFEST to avail 3% additional Paytm Gold on a minimum purchase of Rs 10,000 till October 19.
The company claims that Paytm Gold is fast emerging as the saving option of choice for this segment owing to the flexibility, security and transparency it offers.
“As an increasingly large number of new consumers are realising the convenience of buying and storing pure gold for as little as Re 1, the company is expecting a 5X increase in Paytm Gold sales during Dhanteras and Diwali this month,” the company said.
Paytm offers that consumers can buy Paytm Gold for as little as Re 1 of 24K 999.9 pure Gold from MMTC-PAMP, Customers can sell their accumulated gold to MMTC-PAMP at live market prices or get it delivered at their doorstep in the form of gold coins.
Paytm unveiled gold accumulation plan (GAP) which allows one to buy, sell and store gold digitally in last April. It was launched in collaboration with the MMTC-PAMP.
The company finds that there is a bigger shift in consumer behavior towards instant and paperless gold saving mechanisms and the Diwali Gold Sale will add more impetus to this growth as Paytm pushes for more aggressive innovation in the category.
