City Police Commissioner T R Suresh said four teams were constituted to crack the case. “There are two to three more persons involved in the case and will be arrested shortly.”

Suresh said Zubair had filed a plaint against the arrested in connection with a group clash in Ullal in 2016. He was murdered as revenge for the case. Following the complaint, the police had arrested a few persons including Altaf, who was later booked under Goonda Act. Zubair also had differences with the administrative committee of a mosque in Mukkachery and one of the arrested Asif was involved in the activities of the mosque. Zubair was hacked to death by four to five persons in front of Mukkachery mosque on October 4.
