Philips HealthWorks trains four startups

Philips HealthWorks, the global start-ups initiative of Dutch technology company Koninklijke Philips headquartered in Amsterdam, on Thursday selected four healthcare companies.

Speaking to DH as part of the programme, Head of Philips HealthWorks, Alberto Prado said the company is looking at aligning with startups which resolve real life issues in the health care.

“We are helping startup to make use of our vast technology capability and consumer base to test and validate their product and later help them become solid business units with global foot print,” he said.

The startups selected include Niramai, Parentlane, Theranosis and Touchkin. As part of the programme, the startups received intensive 12 week training to build, test, de-risk and scale their idea.

Prado said the company is very much excited about its first Bangalore cohort which is showcasing exciting solutions across a vast array of fields in healthcare, from data science, oncology, behavioral health to Parenting.
