The state BJP on Thursday demanded an explanation from the state Congress leaders, with the Kerala government deciding to file a FIR against AICC general secretary incharge of Karnataka, K C Venugopal, in a multi-crore solar power panel scam.
BJP state spokesperson S Suresh Kumar said here that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC chief G Parameshwara owe an explanation to the people of the state about the reported involvement of Venugopal in the scam.
“It is most surprising that Venugopal is monitoring the Congress party’s election campaign in Karnataka, when he himself is facing grave charges in the scam,” Kumar said. He said the state Congress had now lost all moral right to file FIRs against BJP leaders.
