This time, Ajay has gone all out to bring forth his edgy and rugged style with diamond ear studs, tattoos and cropped hair. This new avatar for Ajay had been conceptualised by director Rohit Shetty himself.
Rohit has even styled the other cast members of the movie — be it Kareena Kapoor’s tomboy look, Tusshar Kapoor’s tapori look or Arshad Warsi’s look, which is yet to be disclosed. The clothes for Ajay have been styled by Navin Shetty.
When quizzed on the same, the director says, “I wanted all the characters to have different looks in G3. For Ajay (who plays Gopal again), I wanted a character that looked different from everything he has done. He has been working hard on his body a lot, so we will have him flaunting his body. He plays a hyper character who loses his temper very quickly, because of which, everyone is scared of him. People never know what he will laugh about or get angry about.”
The tattoos for Ajay have been designed by Aalim’s studio. Says Aalim, “Vishwas, from my salon, designed the tattoo on Ajay’s neck but the concept and choice was Ajay’s. The tattoo is of a Celtic or tribal trishul. It’s daring to have a tattoo on the neck, even if it’s temporary. No
actor in India has done it on the neck.”
Aalim continues, “We have given Ajay the buzz cut, a stubble and overall, a more macho, masculine and grungy look than he normally sports. We were waiting for all his film shoots to get over before we could give him this look as otherwise it would have continuity problems. He took a keen interest in the whole look and styling.”

Clash of dates
Choreographer-turned-film-maker Farah Khan was very keen to judge the upcoming season of Star Plus’ reality show Zara Nachke Dikha, but she turned it down because its dates clashed with her next directorial venture Tees Maar Khan. “I couldn’t do Zara Nachke Dikha because they wanted me to shoot from April 3, but that was when I was starting my schedule of Tees Maar Khan. The dates were just not matching and unfortunately, I had no option,” said Farah.
The film-maker, who has previously helmed two films — Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, says she would have loved to be on the show, alongside actress Shilpa Shetty on the judging panel. “I share a very good relationship with the channel. I have done shows like Nach Baliye, Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar and Tere Mere Beach Mein with them and it has always been lovely working with them. I was looking forward to Zara Nachke Dikha as well, but I couldn’t do it at the cost of my film,” she said.
Tees Maar Khan is Farah's first movie without her friend, superstar Shah Rukh Khan. It features Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead. While the shooting will get over in August, Farah does not rule out being a part of another reality show.
“The movie is 50 per cent complete. I have the last ten day schedule in August and I am busy shooting it now. I will be fairly free in May, June and July which is when I can do some other reality shows,” she said. If the grapevine is to be believed, there is a possibility that Farah might be judging Zee TV’s Dance India Dance — Little Masters.

Sharing cordial relation
Katrina Kaif received a warm welcome at a media meet to promote her upcoming Raajneeti in Delhi recently. But the cold blast from the air conditioner had her shivering, until co-actor Arjun Rampal gallantly took off his coat and offered it to her. Dressed in a short, sleeveless, pink dress, Katrina found it too cold at the venue. “It’s way too cold here. It’s so cold!”
Katrina was seen whispering to Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal on the stage. While Ranbir chose to nod his head, Arjun displayed chivalry by taking off his black overcoat and handed it to Katrina. She immediately grabbed it and placed it on her legs, which were hidden behind a table on the stage. Moments later, Nana Patekar too was seen requesting hotel officials to get the temperature in control.

Tribute to icons
Like in his previous blockbuster Heyy Babyy, Sajid Khan is paying tribute this time around again to the iconic directors of the 70s and the 80s in his forthcoming film Housefull. The opening credits of Heyy Babyy saw a thank you note to all the actresses who made a special appearance in the title song of the film and this time for Housefull, Sajid will have a note paying tribute to directors of the 70s and 80s on the big screen.
This includes masterminds like Manmohan Desai, Prakash Mehra, Feroz Khan, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, K Raghavendra Rao and Ravi Tandon.
Talking about this tribute, says Sajid Khan, “Housefull is my humble homage to these directors. The films they’ve made have redefined Indian cinema with one word — entertainment. They made some of the most entertaining films of the 70s and the 80s.” Eros International and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull, starring Randhir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Boman Irani, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal and Jiah Khan, is set to hit the big screen on April 30.

Sunglasses for Sukhi
Sukhwinder Singh is all smiles these days! The singer-turned-actor has been showered with praises for his performance in Kuchh Kariye that marks his debut as an actor. And mind you the compliment was not from some mere mortal or a fan, who happened to watch portions of the film. It was from a veteran who is a name to reckon with. And he is none other than Naseeruddin Shah.
Shah watched Kuchh Kariye the other day and was impressed with Sukhwinder’s histrionics. Naseer kept praising Sukhwinder’s acting and said that it did not look that this was his first film. To further encourage Sukhwinder’s talent, Naseer gifted him a pair of expensive branded sunglasses. Coming from a talented actor like Naseeruddin Shah, Sukhwinder was left speechless. Though he does not want to talk about this gesture since he feels it is too personal, he plans to keep the sunglasses as a souvenir.
Kuchh Kariye is a social film dealing with certain contemporary and relevant issues. It’s the journey of a man coming to terms with his own self. It also stars Vikrum Kumar, Rufy Khan, Shriya, Khuahhish, Surendra Pal and Mukesh
Tiwari.
