BJP has condemned the attack on the women animal rights activists who were protesting against illegal cow slaughter earlier this week.
In a statement on Thursday, BJP Cow Welfare Cell State Convenor Siddhartha Goenka stated: “The attackers openly assaulted the animal rights activists in the presence of the Yelahanka police and a High Court appointed commissioner which indicated that the attackers had the protection of the state government”.
“The BJP has every reason to make this charge because two illegal slaughterhouses - Avalahalli on Kanakapura Road and another near Bettahalli in Yelahanka - have been functioning right under the nose of the law-enforcing authorities. No action has been initiated by the law-enforcing authorities all these years,” Goenka stated.
