JOIN USThe Deccan Athletic Club’s 29th Weekend meet, sponsored by Deccan Herald and Prajavani, will be held on December 3 and 10 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
The meet, open only for school-going students of Bengaluru City, is for both boys and girls. For boys the competitions will be held in under-13 and under-16 age categories and for girls, in under-12 and under-15 categories.
The points scored by athletes in each event on both the meets will be compiled and the best eight athletes in each event will be awarded certificates while the top three will receive cash prizes apart from medals. The winner will take home Rs 800, the first runner-up Rs 500 and the bronze medallist Rs 300. Apart from that, participating schools can also vie for the team championship trophies.
There is no entry fee for the competition.

It can also be submitted at the Karnataka Olympic Association office. The last date for sending entries is Nov 23.
