The performance had been organised at Guttamindapalli as part of religious festival on Tuesday night. The police rushed to the spot after receiving information to stop the dance.
The dancers fled the place after sighting the police jeep. However, some of them starting throwing stones at police. As a result two constables, one Sub-Inspector and jeep driver were injured. Even the jeep was damaged in the incident.
SP Thyagaraj, DySP H P Rajanna, Circle Inspector K Ningaiah visited the spot on Wednesday morning. A case has been registered and investigations are on.
