Boy dies in freak accident

The deceased Prashanth, was the son of Jagadish a resident of same village. Police said a programme was organised in the Dasarahosahalli on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti and big speaker boxes were kept at the venue, close to the road. However, a tempo hit one of the speakers which fell on Prashanth who was playing near-by. Prashanth died on the spot, they added.Driver of the tempo Gurumurthy was arrested by the police and a case has been registered at BEML Nagar police station.
