The Girinagar police have detained two juveniles for ramming their car into three parked two-wheelers in Nagendra Block on October 14. The two were produced before the Juvenile Justice Court and released after their statements were taken.
According to the police, one of the two who was driving a Maruti Esteem car was learning to drive.
He lost control of the car when his slipper got stuck under the brake pedal and he could not apply the brakes.
The owners of the vehicles and residents of Nagendra Block had lodged a complaint suspecting that the duo
was on a joyride and was drunk.
After investigations, the police found they were juveniles and were not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
