Wife plotting with lover to kill me, man tells cops

A 40-year-old man has gone to the police, alleging that his wife of 11 years was plotting to kill him with the help of her lover.

Srinivas, who works for a private company, suspected that his wife, Shobha (39), is having an affair with one Vasudev, who works as a guard with the Excise Department. Vasudev is married and lives with his family in Annapurneshwari Nagar.

Srinivas installed a call recorder in Shobha’s mobile phone without her knowledge. When he later confronted her with the “evidence”, she picked a fight with him and went to live with her parents, taking their two children along.

Shobha later called him up and warned that she and Vasudev would “eliminate” him if he created problems for them. She also demanded maintenance for her or else she would file a dowry harassment complaint against him.

Srinivas rushed to the Kamakshipalya police station and filed the complaint against Shobha and Vasudev.
