Two policemen injured in militant attack

Two cops were injured when militants attacked a police party in Rajpora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Saturday.

An official said that militants fired upon a police party outside the police station Rajpora, 42 kms from here, resulting in injuries to two personnel. "Both the injured were shifted to a hospital where their condition is stated to be stable," he said, adding that the area has been cordoned off.

Earlier in the day, militants lobbed a grenade at a camp of special operations group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Imam Sahab area of neighboring Shopian district. Following the blast, the policemen fired few shots in the air, reports said. However, there was no report of any casualties.
