A case of an attack on German national by a railway employee and some others has been reported from Sonebhadra district in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police sources Holger Ereek, a resident of Berlin, was assaulted at Robertsganj railway station allegedly by a railway supervisor Aman Kumar on November 4.   Holger suffered injuries on his arms and legs and later he was taken to the hospital where he was discharged after first aid.

Contradictory claims were made by Holger and Aman in the matter and both of them lodged cross complaints with the GRP at Robertsganj. Aman was arrested later by GRP.

Aman claimed that he had greeted Holger saying "welcome to India", when he saw him strolling on the platform. ''He (Holger) spat on me and also hit me on my face...he also took out a knife and attacked me,'' Aman claimed further.

Though Holger refused to speak to the media, sources said that in his complaint he had accused Aman of assaulting him without any provocation.

In Lucknow, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Law and Order, Anand Kumar said that Holger had ''anger management issue''. ''A case was already registered against Holger in Himachal Pradesh...his passport has been impounded. The German national may be suffering from some problem...depression or anger management issues..he was very aggressive,'' Kumar said.

Barely a few days back a Swiss couple had been brutally assaulted at Fatehpur Sikri in Agra district by some youths triggering a massive outrage. The incident was also reported widely in the Swiss press.
