3D projection proposed for Mysuru Palace

3D projection proposed for Mysuru Palace

Deputy Commissioner DRandeep has written to the Principal Secretary of Tourism department Naveen Raj Singh urging him to take measures for a permanent 3D projection, also known as video mapping and spatial augmented reality, on Mysuru Palace.

Following the success of narrating the significance and history of Dasara through 3D projection on the Town Hall during Dasara festivities in 2016 and 2017, the DChas communicated the proposal to the Secretary to introduce permanent 3Dprojection on the Palace.

In his letter, the DC has mentioned that Mysuru city receives nearly 35 lakh tourists every year and 3D projection would enable them to know about the rich history of Mysuru. He has also mentioned that the 'sound and light' programme being organised at the Palace on selected days has not gained much popularity owing to certain reasons.
