3 die in cylinder blast

A gas cylinder explosion in a house led to the death of three men in Tirupalya, Hebbagodi in Bengaluru rural district.

The deceased have been identified as Vikas Pradhan, Devendra Adhikari and Karan Pradhan, all natives of Nepal, and aged around 25 years. They were working as daily wage labourers and had come to the city last year, according to police.

The explosion took place on Monday morning and the three were shifted to Victoria Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries on Tuesday evening.

The police said the reason for the explosion was yet to be ascertained. The cylinder was found intact but the house was completely damaged and the three had sustained more than 60% burns.
