15 industries from Mysuru region get awards

A total of 15 industries from the Mysuru region will be presented with the Best Industry and Export Awards during the Vendor Development Programme and Investor Summit, on November 24.

The award ceremony will be held at 4 pm at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre.

Nine industries of Mysuru, one from Mandya and five of Chamarajanagar will be presented with the awards by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, during the valedictory of the 'Vendor Development Programme and Investor Summit 2017'.

The Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA), in association with the state government and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is hosting the Summit.

"The summit will act as a common platform for central public sector undertakings and state public sector undertakings, mega and large units, in identifying vendors of their choice, in terms of production capacity and quality standards. This meet will also help Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) understand the need of the original equipment manufacturers", said Suresh Kumar Jain, secretary, Mysuru Industries Association.

"The summit will facilitate the participating companies to explore investment opportunities in Karnataka and firm up their investment proposals with the government in terms of project approvals or memoranda of understanding", he added.

The state-level award for manufacturing excellence will be presented to JK Tyre & Industry, Metagalli; SSV Natural Juices and Herbal Products, JP Nagar; Deco Equipment, Metagalli; NJ Stationery (printing and publicity), Jayapura; and Karnataka Coir Foam and Allied Industrial Corporation (textile), Yadavagiri in Mysuru.

The district-wise manufacturing excellence awardees are Entellcad Engineering, Hebbal Industrial Area, Mysuru; Welspun, Maddur taluk (Mandya district); and Adwit Global, Mariyala (Chamarajanagar district).

The state export excellence awards will be presented to Nestle India, Nanjangud; Plansee India High Performance Material, Metagalli; and N Ranga Rao and Sons, Mysuru; and KUM Internationals, Badanaguppe village; AEC Offshore Trading, Nanjangud; BG Granites, Badanaguppe village; and Navitha Export (Unit II), Mariyala village, Chamarajanagar district.
