DySP Ganapathy death: CBI team meet Enquiry Commission

A team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigating the death of DySP M K Ganapathi met Judicial Enquiry Commission Justice K N Keshavanarayana on Friday and discussed about the case.

Additional Superintendent of Police G Kalaimani, who is heading the case, met Justice Keshavanarayana at his office in Cauvery Bhavan and had a discussion between 12.30 pm and 4.30 pm.

The Commission shared its findings with the team. There were no documents exchanged in the meeting. The team is expected to meet the Commission next week, sources in the Commission said.

The state government had constituted the Commission of Enquiry in July 2016. Justice Keshavanarayana, who headed the Commission, concluded the hearing on November 21 by recording statements of all the 49 witnessess. He is  expected to submit the final report to the state government in the first week of January.
