Helicopter gunships bombarded militant positions in Sherin Darra and Goeen areas of Orakzai Agency while troops carried out ground attacks in Sanghra, the sources said.
Military officials have claimed that over 300 militants have been killed since an operation was launched in Orakzai Agency last month.
