'Monkey Mayhem' to be opened in Mangaluru on November 29

The new premises of Monkey Mayhem fight club and fitness centre will be inaugurated at the third floor, Karunadham building, opposite mischief mall, K S Rao road, Mangaluru on November 29, at 4 pm.

Addressing reporters at Patrika Bhavan in Mangaluru on Monday, Monkey Mayhem president Rajgopal Rai said that the fighter club will be inaugurated by Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fisheries minister Pramod Madhwaraj. District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai will inaugurate the office, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel will inaugurate the MMA cage. Muaythai Association of Karnataka Honourary State president A Sadananda Shetty will preside.

MP Pratap Simha, mayor Kavitha Sanil, Malayalam film actor Nivin Pauly and others will attend the function. Monkey Mayhem trains the youth in mixed martial arts (MMA). The association started in 2014 and Nitesh Chandra has been training the participants. The sportsmen trained by the institute have won medals in international competitions. 14 of the 18 medalists from Karnataka in the Muaythai championship held in Jaipur are from Monkey Mayhem Club, Rai said. The institute has also won four silver medals in the Muaythai World Championship in Thailand.
