He was speaking during the release of a book of Dr Verghese Kurien, at SCDCC bank auditorium in Mangaluru, on Sunday.
Bharatiya Vikas Trust, Manipal Managing Trustee K M Udupa said that Dr Verghese Kurien is an inspiration to all members of the cooperative sector. The DKMUL has been following Kurien's ideals. Udupa, meanwhile, also recalled the contributions of Dr T A Pai to the milk cooperative sector.
Prizes
Prizes were distributed to the Nandini dealers on the occasion. Dr Mahabaleshwar Rao, the author of the book on Dr Verghese Kurien, was felicitated.
DKMUL directors Savanuru K Seetharama Rai, B Niranjan, Navinchandra Jain, Janaki Hande and cooperative societies deputy registrar B K Salim were also present on the occasion.
