KBL launches 'KBL Vikaas'

Karnataka Bank has inked pact with The Boston Consulting Group (India) Private Ltd (BCG), towards the transformation project 'KBL Vikaas'.

A programme in this connection was held at the Bank's head office in Mangaluru on Wednesday.

'KBL Vikaas' is aimed at total transformation of Karnataka Bank by repositioning the Bank as a relevant and significant bank through focus on technology and keeping intact its core values and identity.

The transformation exercise will focus mainly on turbocharge growth with improved sales productivity and designing new products, cost optimisation with process automation and digitisation as well as NPA management, profitability boosters with pricing optimisation and focus on fee income and shareholder value enhancement through investor engagement, communication and corporate branding.

Karnataka Bank managing director and CEO Mahabaleshwara M S said that the transformation exercise is a bold and timely initiative towards total transformation of the Bank. BCG, with whom the Bank has partnered, is regarded as a global leader in transformation and will add values to all the stake holders. With this and with the active involvement of 8,000-plus work force of the Bank who have a 'Bank First' attitude, the Bank has entered a new era.

Karnataka Bank non-executive chairperson P Jayarama Bhat, general manager and chief transformation officer Gokuldas Pai and BCG director Saurabh Tripathi were present on the occasion.
