BJP leader demands arrest of culprits for insulting Pejawar seer

BJP state executive member Udayakumar Shetty has demanded immediate arrest of the culprits who tarnished the poster of the Pejawar seer Vishwesha Theertha Swami.

Speaking to media persons, the veteran BJP leader said that the police should take immediate action against the culprits. The vested interests, who were not able to tolerate the smooth conduct of the Dharma Sansad under the able leadership of the seer, are out to tarnish the reputation of the octogenarian seer.

He alleged that the several ministers in the Congress government are facing charges of corruption. However, they continue to hold the positions with the support of the chief minister Siddaramaiah.

He said the ministers K J George and Vinay Kulkarni should resign immediately or the chief minister should ask their resignations.

George is charge-sheeted by the CBI in DySP M K Ganapathi death case while Vinay Kulkarni is accused by the BJP of murdering Dharwad ZP member Yogeshgouda Goudar.

The government is using the police and administrative machinery to destroy the evidence to shield the ministers, he alleged.

He said that the recently held Akhila Bharat Sahitya Sammelana in Mysuru was used as a political platform by the Congress. It is unfortunate that in the literary meet, the writer Chandrasekhar Patil appealed people to vote for secular national party during the inauguration. There was absolutely nothing pertaining to literature in the literary meet, he complained.
