Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said, it is 'Ravana Rajya' in Karnataka with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah disturbing communal harmony for his vote-bank politics.

Addressing a media conference here on Monday, he held Siddaramaiah as the main cause for the Hunsur incident. "Siddaramaiah is doing nothing to unite the people. He is acting like a dictator. He can even tutor the dictators across the world. If Tipu Jayanti and Eid Milad processions can be taken out in the heart of the cities like Mysuru and Bengaluru, why not a Hanuma Jayanti procession in a small town like Hunsur?" he asked.

"In epics like Ramayana, Karnataka has been described as Hanuma Naadu. Hanuman is believed to be a native of Kishkinda in Hampi. If Hamuma Jayanti is opposed in Karnataka, where else can it be celebrated? Not only Hanuma Jayanti, all Hindu utsavs and processions are being prohibited by Siddaramaiah's government. Under the guise of appeasement of a particular community, Siddaramaiah is disturbing communal harmony. Even though the role of terror outfits and fundamental organisations behind the killing of nationalist leaders like Magalli Ravi and Raju of Kyathamaranahalli, no action has been taken against the outfits," he said.

"After the killing of Raju, in his own home district, Siddaramaiah did not visit the house of the victim to console the family members. This shows his selective appeasement. Peaceful protests would be held across the state to protest against the arrest of MP Pratap Simha and to expose the dangerous moves of Siddaramaiah to divide the people on communal lines," he said.
