Another injured as elephant menace continues

As the elephant menace in the district continued for another day, another man was attacked by an elephant on  Wednesday morning.

The pachyderm attacked C Kaatappa of Aytholli in the taluk at about 7.30 am hurting him badly. He has been admitted to the district hospital.

Ravi who was attacked an elephant on Tuesday and admitted to the same hospital in the evening is said to be out of danger.    

The elephants have stayed put in the forests of Papenahalli region and efforts are on to chase them away.  District Forest Officer Manjunath and staff inspected the spot.
