Bengaluru FC brings back Ralte for next game

Last Updated 06 December 2017, 18:04 IST

Bengaluru FC has recalled goalkeeper Lalthuammawia Ralte into their squad as a replacement for injured Abhra Mondal for their two upcoming away games of the Indian Super League.

Mondal has been ruled out of the games after suffering a hamstring injury and is now expected to remain out of action for four weeks.

"Hero Indian Super League club Bengaluru FC will bring back goalkeeper Lathuammawia Ralte (jersey no 28) into the squad as a replacement for the injured Abhra Mondal," the league informed through a statement.

As a result, Ralte, who had missed the club's first three games after suffering an ankle injury ahead of the start of the season, will return to the squad.

Ralte will be available for selection to head coach Albert Roca for Bengaluru FC's upcoming games against NorthEast United FC on Friday and against FC Pune City on December 14.

The city-side had earlier ruled Ralte out for at least six weeks owing to the pre-season injury. But with their first-choice goalkeeper Gurpeet Singh Sandhu being banned for two matches after receiving a straight red card for his jibe at an FC Goa player last week, the Mizo player has been deemed fit for their Friday's game.
