Order issued on division of Bangalore varsity assets

Five months after the trifurcation of Bangalore University, the Higher Education Department has given a green signal to the division of financial, physical and human resources between Bengaluru North and Central universities.

The department has also directed the universities to ensure completion of building works at Kolar Postgraduate Centre and pay the contractor.

Property: The building and the property of Central College will go to the Central University, the property belonging to Kolar Postgraduate Centre will go to Bengaluru North university. Authorities have been instructed to transfer the documents.

Aid: Rs 15 crore has been earmarked for initial expenses of Bengaluru North University while the Central University will get Rs 10 crore.

Colleges: The fee and expenditure related to affiliation during 2017-18 academic year should be divided according to the number of colleges coming under each university.

Bangalore University will use the Natural Science Block on the premises of Central College for worksrelated to examination and evaluation of 700 students.
