Last Updated 10 December 2017, 16:04 IST

BJP workers in Varuna constituency will launch a stir on December 13, the day Congress launches 'Janashirvada Yatra', a state-wide poll campaign. The workers will protest against lack of development in the Assembly constituency represented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Addressing reporters here, former corporator and BJP leader from Varuna, MPradeep Kumar said that Siddaramaiah has neglected his own constituency thereby depriving it of basic facilities. The party workers will launch a massive protest against Siddaramaiah from Aralikattehundi village in the constituency on December 13, he said.

Pradeep said that BJPstate president BSYeddyurappa and other leaders will participate in the protest and the workers will later tour Varuna constituency to highlight the "failure" of Siddaramaiah.

He pointed out that nearly 56 families that lived in Aralikattehundi village have migrated to other places in search of jobs. But, the CM has not considered it seriously, he said.

Siddaramaiah, who has been criticising JD(S) of indulging in family politics since long, has now introduced his son Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah to politics. "Why did he do this," they questioned.

Siddaramaiah, being a CM, has failed to live up to his promises and has failed in the overall development of the state, they alleged.

BJPworkers Jagadish, Mahadevaswamy Biligere, Ravi Kiragunda, Kunchumalli Maheshand others were present.
