Over 400 people, on Monday, took out a walk for amity and tolerance between people of all faiths in Hunsur town; that witnessed major unrest during Hanuma Jayanti celebrations recently.
Progressive organisations and ordinary people gathered at the Kalpatharu circle in the city and shouted slogans denouncing communalism and casteism. "May tolerance reign always" they shouted.
The procession that went about the major streets of the town, reached the tahsildar's office where leaders made speeches urging peaceful co-existence among various communities.
