Rajnath hits back at Rahul, says Cong behind comunal unrest

Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday hit back at Congress president Rahul Gandhi for accusing the BJP of spreading hatred and violence in the country, saying it was his party which is dousing the fire lit by the Congress.

Addressing BJP's Nava Karnataka Nirmana Parivarthana Yatra in Bengaluru, the senior BJP leader sought to know who is behind communal tensions, naxalism and unrest in Jammu and Kashmir. "He (Rahul) says that BJP is responsible for the unrest in the country. I want to ask him who is behind the communal tensions, terrorism, Naxalism and unrest in Kashmir?" he stated.

"Who is behind the dynastic politics in the country? Let Rahul Gandhi know that it is the BJP which is trying to douse the fire lit by Congress," Singh added.

Rahul, who formally assumed the charge as the Congress president on Saturday, had accused the BJP of spreading hatred and violence in the country, and also alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taking India back to the medieval times.
